I've been a resident of Jefferson City for almost my entire life, having moved here when I was two years old. I graduated from Helias High School in 1988 and then earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Missouri in 1992.

I've been happily married for 32 years to my wife, Christy who is also a lifetime Jefferson City native. We have three children: Andrea, who is 27, married, and the mother of my two beautiful two-year-old twin granddaughters; Jessica, who is 25 and works as a teacher in Kansas City; and Jacob, our 21-year-old who still lives at home.

For 28 years, I dedicated my career to the Department of Health and Senior Services. I recently retired from that role to pursue work that allows me to connect more directly with retirees and make a tangible difference in their lives, which I find incredibly rewarding. It finally feels like the work I'm doing is truly fulfilling.
